Each has distinctive design elements and strong colours giving the banknote its own individual character. Special attention has also been given with this banknote design to accommodate features that aid the blind and partially sighted. Congratulations to Clydesdale for this initiative.

Mr. Burhan Göklemez, (left) Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey is seen here receiving the runner up award in this category. The Central Bank of Armenia’s 100,000 Dram was a runner up in this category. The delicate colours, distinctive design, historical and religious theme of universal significance and high level of protection are undoubtedly the advantages of this banknote and single it out from other banknotes issued in 2009.
